website mini-logo (the one in the toolbar)
Here are a couple of ideas for the mini logo that appears on the tab; the first is just the eyes of Conrad's lisp alien, while the second is his lisp flag in a circle, just shrunk down.
Perhaps just the lisp flag itself would be better, for the size available; I'm not actually sure what the resolution is - 16x16 seemed to be too small, while 32x32 looks too big.
At any rate, I think it'd be cool to see some unique design proposals, but I'm no artist.

umm... my mistake.
That is to say, just on the left of the tab, or just to the left of the url.

Ah, the favicon. Gotcha. I'll see what I can do.

Here's three from me, the last two are, as previously noted, based on Conrad Barski's alien:
I personally favor the last one, in an absurd manner.

Okay, so a favicon is only 16x16 pixels. I tried scaling down the 32x32 images, but there wasn't much left when I was done. If you knew that they were already alien eyes, you could definitely recognize them, but to a random bystander with no context, they wouldn't be able to have identified them.
I'm all for changing the site favicon to something interesting, but I'd like to choose something that says "Lisp" to even the casual passerby. I like Conrad's stuff, but it really only works full-size, where you can see what it is, and you can read the text about "alien technology." Without that, it's an inside joke that nobody gets, and one thing I'd like to do with LispForum is keep it accessible to newbies and old-timers alike.
Along the lines of keeping things accessible, I'd also like to avoid lambdas and such. All the functional programming language sites have lambdas as their favicon. If possible, I'd like something distinct for LispForum.
Sooo... if that hasn't totally choked off all the favicon possibilities, I'd very much like to hear any other suggestions that people might come up with.

Here's an idea: http://www.p01.org/releases/DHTML_conte ... e_favicon/
Okay, that might be overdoing it
