Okay, I decided to go for it. I just created a favicon.ico based on the surprised looking smiley icon with parenthesis around its head. You may have to dump your browser cache to see it. I had to shrink things down to make it all fit in the 16x16 space you get for a favicon, so it doesn't have the resolution of the smiley used in the forum itself.

Okay, the current favicon is really working for me. I think we'll keep it. theclapp wins the LispForum award for most improvement to the web site this week. Your steak knives are in the mail. 8-) Thanks to everybody else who suggested things, particularly dmgenp's "parenthesis lizard" which was definitely a competitor.
