Re: sbcl-1.0.20
Thanks for all your help folks. I got 1.0.19 from SF since Cusp 0.9.390 was also tested with it. I am going to be trying it out.

Cusp or Emacs - Which?
Does anyone on this forum use Cusp? As a newbie I find it a lot more easy to interact with than emacs+slime, which has a really steep learning curve. What would be the reasons for learning emacs+slime nevertheless? In other words, what advantages does emacs+slime have over Cusp?

Re: sbcl-1.0.20
I have no idea yet as to where to upload the binary. I hope someone will come up with something. Would be grateful to try the installer out.

What's Subversion For?
I saw this message http://xach.livejournal.com/193855.html on Planet Lisp and was excited. I followed the links and ended up here http://article.gmane.org/gmane.lisp.openmcl.devel/2878 . This article has a link to a Subversion system. I wanted to get Closure CL for my Windows box (win32) but have ne...

Re: SBCL on Windows ?
This is not a direct answer to your question as such, but I thought I could mention Cusp ( http://bitfauna.com/projects/cusp/index.html ). It runs SBCL on top of the Eclipse IDE on Windows and it is gorgeous and easy to use. Loading libraries and packages requires only a couple clicks. It's certainl...

How Do You Teach Yourself Programming?
Hi all, I never had a formal education in computers, let alone programming. A short while ago I started to teach myself programming through Common Lisp, the first language I’ve ever tried. I know that one of the best ways to teach yourself programming is “simply to do it – pick projects that a...
