Yep, I was there. That was timing :) I'm already looking forward to the next meeting, on the 27th January 2009. I even have some ideas for another talk.

Unfortunately, the ALU decided to put the wiki offline. Don't know why. Maybe we should set up a new, updated Wiki-page.

As for speed it doesn't matter really because most time is spent in SDL which is written in C anyway. Same goes for OpenGL.

I favor PLT Scheme because it contains a lot of stuff and is rather well documented. And the mailing list is great for asking questions.
